Director, Business Development

This position is a highly-visible role within ChargePoint and the industry – to develop and bring to market partner-based solutions involving ChargePoint Network. The role requires handling multiple simultaneous partners – including the creation of relationships with engineering, marketing, sales, purchasing/finance, manufacturing, and executives. This role will interact with much of the company as it incubates products, services, and geographies.

Director, Business Development - Auto and Utilities

This position is a highly-visible role within ChargePoint and the industry – to develop ChargePoint’s electric vehicle charging as a service business. The role requires handling multiple simultaneous external and internal partners – including the creation and management of relationships with electric vehicle OEM’s, utilities along with national and regional retail and hospitality partners. Internally focused partners include engineering, marketing, sales, purchasing/finance, manufacturing, and executives. This role will interact with much of the company as it incubates products, services, and geographies related to vehicle charging as a service.

Field Deployment Manager

The successful candidate will coordinate construction and deployment of high speed electric vehicle charging stations in their geographically defined area. Candidate will take direction and hand-off from program managers, site acquisition specialists and program leadership. Responsibilities include surveying site host properties for suitability for EV charger installation and driving everything that needs to be done to successfully build out the site. This includes interaction with utilities, municipalities, site hosts and installation contractors. Candidates for this position must have excellent project management skills and be able to track and manage activities at 15 – 30 different sites in parallel. Candidates must be excellent communicators with all management levels, both internally and externally, including installation partners and electric utilities. A proven track record in project and construction management is a must.

Grant Development Manager

The Grant Development Manager is responsible for grant discovery, development, administration and project management for ChargePoint in the public fast charge deployment arena. The GDM will be responsible for grant development activities that include identifying federal, state, local and regional grants for ChargePoint and interfacing with government agencies to establish ChargePoint interest or perspective in funding opportunities. The position will seek opportunities and prepare create grant submissions related to deployment of DC fast charge infrastructure. The position will also administer the grants by managing and coordinating, internally and externally, the implementation of grant-funded project(s). The role will interface with external grant customers as well as internal grant processing to tracking data and information. The position will ensure administrative compliance with government agencies.

Site Acquisition Specialist

The successful candidate will identify potential site hosts and close agreements with forward thinking business owners that are interested in hosting high speed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on their properties. Responsibilities include analyzing applicability of sites to meet program goals, identifying key decision makers, presenting the value proposition, negotiating site host agreements and closing long term contracts. The right candidate will have the business acumen to quickly learn what makes a property and a site host special along with a passion for changing the way the world travels. Candidates for this position must be excellent communicators at all management levels internally, externally, with partners with local business owners as well as national brands. Candidates will have a successful track record and relevant experience selling hardware/software to a variety of Enterprise customers. If you have experience selling EV Charging stations and existing relationships in the industry that would be a major benefit. Of course, you must have experience identifying sales opportunities and working opportunities to closure.

Site Research & Planning Specialist

The successful candidate will identify and engage forward thinking business owners that may be interested in hosting high speed electric vehicle charging stations on their properties. Responsibilities include analyzing applicability of sites to meet program goals, identifying key decision makers, contacting potential site hosts, and presenting our program to them. The candidate will take direction from program managers, site acquisition specialists and program leadership. The candidate will report on key opportunity parameters, such as site host value proposition, viable alternate targets, available electric power and municipal zoning requirements. The right candidate will have the business acumen to quickly learn what makes a property and a site host special along with a passion for changing the way the world travels. The candidates for this position must have outstanding sales skills and be excellent communicators at all management levels internally, externally, with partners, local business owners and national brands.

Sr. Director, Business Development – International

This position is a highly-visible role within ChargePoint and the industry – to drive the deployment strategy, plan and execution of ChargePoint’s global expansion to Europe, China, and Rest of World. As the team grows, it is expected this role will manage the team, develop the strategy and deliver on initiatives and key metrics.

The role is responsible for reporting to the head of BD and the executive staff of ChargePoint, and is responsible for delivering agreed global expansion initiatives.

The role will take guidance from the executive management team and Board of Directors, and create market expansion plans for Europe and China (and later for Rest of World). These plans will include and integrate investment funding planning and execution, internal coordination and delivery of functional plans (product roadmap and engineering, go-to-market and sales channels, support and services, manufacturing and operations, management and G&A), entity establishment in expansion territories, setup and knowledge transfer and transition planning and execution.

The position requires that the candidate can pitch and sell ChargePoint’s business model and expansion plan to potential investors (often working alongside ChargePoint management team and Board members) and can credibly represent ChargePoint’s management at executive levels within investors, strategic partners (automotive, high tech, competitors), government & utility (when needed). Presentation, summarization, and closing skills are essential.

The position also requires internal coordination of departments and cross functional team management to prepare functional plans and deliver on these plans. Diplomacy and understanding of all functions within an organization are essential skills.

The role will be pivotal in ChargePoint expanding to new territories and creating a dominant position for ChargePoint in those markets, creating equity value in the hundreds of millions and revenues in the tens of millions within three years of entry to these markets.

Major projects include managing and expanding site taxonomy, executing online portions of integrated marketing campaigns, launching new sections or pages, creating interactive tools, and implementing site enhancements. Web properties include HQ and international sites, blog, forums, and e-commerce.

The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, keeps up with industry trends and is familiar with content management systems. This candidate has a strong understanding of the entire development process—from design and development through final execution and QA, with back-end knowledge as well.

Customer Success Account Manager

The Customer Success Account Manager (CSAM) will interact directly with the Sales team, internal and external customers, operations and maintenance partners and the Services team. The CSAM must be able to manage multiple customers at a time and be organized to track and report on their status. They should have a desire to learn new skills including technical skills.

This critical role will handle the post-sale handoff from a Support Advisor – who will be responsible for Welcome, Onboarding, Training, and Activation of the charging stations order – and thereafter the CSAM will take over the management of the customer. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: handling customer repurchases, subscription renewals, upselling maintenance, warranty, and other services.

The CSAM must maintain excellent communications with the Customers, Sales Rep, and Services team to assure a seamless, successful customer experience, escalation of support issues, and proper ongoing documentation of all processes, to ensure successful completion and handoff. The CSAM will also be responsible for timely status reporting so that the management and sales teams will have updated information related to the various projects.

The Embedded Engineer will be responsible for embedded development on Linux based systems, including board bring up, power-on and run-time diagnostics, drivers and user-land applications for ChargePoint's market leading electric vehicle charging stations.

Program Manager, Engineering

ChargePoint is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to manage initiatives related to our EV charging hardware products and software systems. The Program Manager will engage with an
experienced cross functional staff to drive key aspects of planning and execution including program scheduling, engineering deliverables, test/certification and sales operations. The Program Manager will lead internal inter-disciplinary teams through the product execution phase process. The candidate is responsible for managing the project plan, including the schedules and

The Accounts Receivable Manager will play a dynamic role on the team as a key contributor in the Order-to-Cash function.
