ChargePoint was founded in 2007 by a group of entrepreneurs who anticipated the EV revolution. With extensive experience in technology and design from leading global companies, ChargePoint’s team is building the smart network that keeps the EV industry moving forward.


Pasquale Romano

President and Chief Executive Officer

Pasquale co-founded 2Wire which was acquired by Pace plc for $475M in 2010. Previously, Pasquale held multiple positions in marketing and engineering at Polycom. In 1989, he co-founded Fluent, Inc., a digital video networking company and served as Chief Architect until it was sold to Novell Corporation in 1993. Pasquale is co-owner of Centonove, a modern Italian restaurant and wine bar in Los Gatos, CA. Pasquale holds an undergraduate degree in computer science from Harvard University and received his M.S. from MIT. Pasquale is a hardcore triathlete who has competed in 6 Ironman races to date. When not on a bike, in the water, or pounding the pavement, Pasquale cruises from point A to B in his Tesla Model S.


Dave Baxter

Founder and Vice President, Hardware Engineering

Dave is a technology innovator and product developer. He has held many senior management positions, including Vice President of engineering at 3Com Corporation and Adept Technology, where he developed multiple generations of assembly robots and flexible automation controllers used in factories and food packaging plants worldwide. A pioneer of voice over broadband technology, Dave led the development of the industry's first carrier grade voice over DSL system while vice president of engineering for Jetstream Communications. Dave received a B.S. from the Engineering College at Cornell University. Dave is pretty particular about his coffee and roasts his own beans at home.


Tony Canova

Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer

Tony Canova has more than 26 years experience as a CFO and partner in public accounting. Prior to joining ChargePoint, Tony was Vice President of Finance, Administration and CFO of Brocade Communications, a publicly listed company that pioneered the storage area networking industry. Since leaving Brocade, Tony has focused on advising a number of venture-backed technology companies including 3 Leaf Systems, Ankena, and Qumu, serving in roles including CFO as well as advisor to the CEO. Prior to Brocade Tony served as CFO of Wireless Inc, a wireless broadband equipment manufacturer. He was also an audit partner of KPMG LLP where he focused on audits, mergers and acquisitions, and IPOs of a variety of technology companies. Tony holds a B.S. in Accounting from Santa Clara University. When Tony takes a break from the numbers he likes to get lost in the backcountry of the Sierras highmarking his snowmobile. Ajay Agrawal

Chief Technology Officer

Ajay is a technology fanatic with over 20 years of experience in computing. Most recently, Ajay was the Vice President of Engineering at Luvocracy, which was acquired by Walmart Labs in July 2014. He has held leadership roles in both large companies (including Oracle, eBay and Microsoft) and many startups. Ajay earned his B.S. And M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and the University of Illinois, respectively. His passion for computers traces back to Hong Kong, where he spent his high school years tinkering on an Apple II. He’s proud to be the first one at ChargePoint’s HQ driving a BMW i3.


Milton T. (Tom) Tormey

Vice President, Product Management

Tom brings to ChargePoint demonstrated leadership of high volume, leading edge product development teams in multiple start-up companies. As Vice President of Engineering at InvenSense, Tom managed the design and product development teams that created the world's first dual-axis MEMS gyroscope. Prior to InvenSense, Tom was Vice President of Engineering at Echelon Corporation where he spent 14 years managing the development of a wide range of networking hardware, including analog/digital boards and systems, routers, gateways and web servers. Tom received his BSEE from the University of California, Irvine and his MSEE from the University of California Berkeley and has co-authored numerous patents. When he’s not on the ground in his RAV4 EV, Tom takes to the skies as a commercial instrument rated pilot.


Deborah Donohue

Vice President, Operations

Deb joined ChargePoint in 2011 to oversee all aspects of manufacturing and operations. Prior to ChargePoint, Deb worked at Pace as Director, Operations and Strategic Planning where she directed the Integrated Business Planning for Pace Americas and was responsible for driving cost reduction. Deb also worked at 2Wire for more than 10 years as director of operations and strategic planning. She was responsible for planning and directing the operations organization's strategic and long-range financial goals. Deb holds a BA in Political Science for Public Administration from San Jose State. She’s part owner of a microbrewery and drives a Chevy Volt.


Simon Lonsdale

Vice President, Business Development

Simon joined ChargePoint in 2011, after several virtualization and cloud software startups including RNA Networks (acquired by Dell Computers), NICE Software and Platform Computing (acquired by IBM). Previously, Simon held executive roles in Software Engineering and Business Development at Aspect, migrating the telecommunications company from hardware products to software voice-over-IP solutions. Simon’s education credentials include a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) and Bachelor degrees from Bradford University in Electronic, Computer and Communication Engineering, and Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) professional status in UK and Europe. Based in the Bay Area, Simon zips around in his Chevy Spark EV.


Dimitrios Papadogonas

Vice President, Marketing

Dimitrios joined ChargePoint from Virgin America where he spent more than five years helping build America’s coolest airline—running brand marketing, partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising. Prior to Virgin America, Dimitrios worked at Gap where he developed marketing plans and brand programs for the Gap brand. At Apple, Dimitrios helped roll out Apple’s retail stores and led the team responsible for the creation of the Mac Genius Bar. Dimitrios holds a business degree from the University of Alberta and is happy to drive in stealth mode in his new C-Max Energi.


Colleen Quinn

Vice President, Government Relations and Public Policy

Colleen is a seasoned executive leader and government strategist with 30 years experience in government, business and non -profit sectors. She has served in the highest level government and political appointed positions, as well as a senior corporate officer and senior non -profit management and advocacy roles. These include California Governor Jerry Brown, the Partnership for New York City, Insight Communications, Pacific Telesis and the Revlon Foundation. Colleen has a BA from UC Berkeley and a JD from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.


Michael DiNucci

Senior Vice President, Sales

Mike leads ChargePoint’s sales organization and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s sales efforts. Mike brings nearly twenty years of sales and sales management experience to ChargePoint. Prior to joining ChargePoint in 2008, Mike managed sales teams at a number of companies including VeriSign, Network Appliance, Silicon Graphics and Xactly. Mike holds degrees in Business Administration and English Literature from UCLA and loves to put his love of words to use talking about his new Chevy Volt.


Scott Miller

Vice President Sales, North America East

Scott runs ChargePoint sales in the eastern region (NA). He’s still collecting kudos for successfully implementing ChargePoint’s $37 million ChargePoint America program. Scott has more than 20 years of B2B technology sales and service management experience with such companies as Oracle, where he was VP & GM North American operations, SPL WorldGroup, as VP EMEA Utilities Global Business Unit, and Empirix as VP Europe. Scott holds an MBA in Industrial Marketing from Harvard Business School and a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University. Scott’s EV of choice is a BMWi3.


Jonathan Kaplan

General Counsel

Jon has been leading ChargePoint’s legal team for the last three years. Prior to coming to ChargePoint, Jon was founder and managing director of the Law Offices of Jonathan Kaplan. Before he opened his own firm, Jon spent seven years practicing law on Wall Street, first with the firm of Sullivan & Cromwell and, later, with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. During that time, Jon spent the majority of his time working on large scale mergers and acquisitions, including the Citicorp/Travelers and the Honeywell/Allied Signal mergers. Jon received his JD from Hastings College of the Law and an LLM in taxation from New York University. A lover of the great outdoors, Jon can frequently be found on the peaks and rivers of our national parks. Rumor has it that Jon once considered filing a suit against an unwelcome bear at his campsite.


Mike Talley

Vice President, Services and Support

Mike Talley is responsible for the ongoing growth, quality improvement, and performance ChargePoint Services and Support. Mike has more than 30 years experience in operations and professional services management roles, with emphasis on customer relationships and call center development. Prior to joining ChargePoint, he served as EVP and GM of Services & Support at 2Wire, and as EVP of Worldwide Operations at Syntellect, where he was responsible for custom application development, integration and consulting services, business development, and operations. Previously, he served as Vice President of Professional Services and Vice President of Operations at Fujitsu Business Communication Systems, and as Vice President of Customer Support at Mitel. Mike has also performed various executive customer support and operations roles with ROLM and IBM Corporations, including Vice President of Operations. Mike holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
