Residential Federal Tax Credit

Individuals who purchase and install electric vehicle charging stations between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2016 may be eligible for a tax credit of 30% of the qualifying costs, up to $1,000. Permitting and inspection fees are not qualifying costs. Buy Home now.

California

The Burbank Water and Power (BWP) Electric Vehicle Charging Station Rebate offers rebates of $500 for Level 2 EV chargers. Rebates are limited to one per BWP residential account. Charger must be new and have a purchase and installation date of July 1, 2015 or later. Application must be submitted no later than four months from the date of purchase and are accepted on a first-come first serve basis until rebate funds are exhausted.

The Glendale Water & Power EV Rebate Program offers a $200 rebate to the first 100 single family residents who purchase or lease an EV and install a Level 2 charging station. Applications for this first-come, first serve rebate opportunity will be accepted until 100 rebates have been awarded.

The Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) PEV Charger Rebate Program provides a rebate of up to $400 to PWP residential customers who notify PWP about the purchase or lease of a qualifying EV and install a qualifying Level 2 charger at the address shown on the PWP electric account. Applications for this first-come, first serve rebate opportunity will be accepted until rebate funds have been exhausted.

The Anaheim Public Utilities PEV Charger Rebate Program offers a rebate of up to $500 to customers that install Level 2 chargers at their residence. In addition to the rebate, the City’s permit fees related to the installation of the EV charger will be waived. Rebate applications received July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2016, will be eligible for up to $500, subject to availability of funds.

The Los Angeles Department of Water & Power ("LADWP") Charge Up L.A.! Program offers rebates for Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations at residential locations. LADWP residential customers are eligible to receive up to $500 toward their out-of-pocket expenses for an EV charging station. The rebate does not cover the cost of installation. Applications must be submitted within six months of EV charger purchase and postmarked no later than June 30, 2018.

Delaware

The Delaware Electric Vehicle Charging Supply Equipment Rebate Program offers a $500 rebate to install Level 2 charging stations for residential customers. The rebate is only available for electric chargers purchased between November 1, 2016 and June 30, 2018. available until December 31, 2016.

Florida

Gulf Power offers a $750 incentive to help plug-in electric vehicle drivers offset the cost to install appropriate plug-in electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This program is limited to the first 1,000 participants and expires on December 31, 2018.

The Alliant Energy Level 2 Home Charger Rebate offers rebates of $500 for Level 2 EV chargers. Rebates are available for Alliant Energy residential electric customers in Iowa and Wisconsin. The charger must be purchased and installed between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017. Applications are accepted on a first-come first serve basis until rebate funds are exhausted.
