The OLEV (now OZEV) Grant Scheme

The Government has set up a scheme which supports the wider use of electric and hybrid cars through the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), going forward known as the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV). Home charging customers will be able to get up to £350 towards the purchase and installation costs of their home charging station under the EVHS grant. Workplace charging customers will get £350 per socket up to a maximum of 40 sockets across all sites per application towards the purchase and installation under the WCS grant.

ChargePoint Supplemental Warranty Terms & Conditions For OLEV (now OZEV) EVHS & WCS Grant-Funded Products

ChargePoint CPH32 – OLEV (now OZEV) EVHS

  • ChargePoint Home must be installed by an OZEV approved installer who is also certified by ChargePoint to install ChargePoint home
  • ChargePoint provides a 3-year standard parts warranty on the product which includes shipping replacement parts or new units and return shipping for the faulty unit.
  • ChargePoint contractually requires any certified OZEV installer authorized to install ChargePoint product within the OZEV program to include a 3-year labour warranty on the installation and warranty-related labour costs including on-site replacement.
  • In the event the OZEV approved installer does not meet its contractual obligation to replace a faulty ChargePoint Home unit, ChargePoint will dispatch another licensed, ChargePoint certified installer to replace the unit at ChargePoint’s cost. ChargePoint will not reimburse or otherwise cover any costs/expenses for labour performed by service providers or installers not authorized by ChargePoint for such work.
  • ChargePoint is not responsible or liable for any costs associated with faulty installations or faulty units if the original installer was not certified by ChargePoint for installations under the OZEV program at the time the original installation occurred.
  • Hardware faults for product within the OZEV program should be reported to OLEVsupport@chargepoint.com.

ChargePoint CP4100/4300 – OLEV (OZEV) WCS

  • ChargePoint provides a 3-year standard parts warranty on the product which includes shipping replacement parts or new units and return shipping for the faulty unit.
  • ChargePoint contractually requires any certified OZEV approved installer authorized to install ChargePoint product within the OZEV program to include a 3-year labour warranty on the installation and warranty-related labour costs.
  • In the event the OZEV installer does not meet its contractual obligation to replace a faulty ChargePoint unit, ChargePoint will dispatch another licensed, ChargePoint certified installer to replace the unit at ChargePoint’s cost. Summary of OLEV (now OZEV) terms & conditions

  • Residents must provide evidence of being the registered keeper or lessee, or be named as the primary user of an eligible EV or plug-in vehicle in order to be able to claim the grant.
  • Only one claim per vehicle can be made, even if you own more than one home. However, a single customer can claim one charging point per vehicle, for up to two vehicles.
  • The OLEV (now OZEV) EVHS grant is only applicable for residential addresses with designated private off-street parking (driveway or garage).
  • If you are not the property owner and freeholder of the building, signed written permission and a proof of address from the appropriate owner or management company must be obtained prior to installation of the ChargePoint home or workplace charger.
  • If you are the property owner and freeholder of a listed building, our installer will require listed consent from the local planning authority before an installation can take place.
