How do I charge my Tesla at ChargePoint stations?

Last updated: 31/10/2023

Today, most Tesla drivers can access ChargePoint stations using widely available adapters. For AC stations with J1772 connectors, Tesla drivers can use the J1772 adapter provided with every Tesla vehicle. Tesla drivers in Europe can use any ChargePoint station there.

Many Tesla drivers can use the CCS1 adapter from Tesla to use a CCS1 connector on ChargePoint DC fast charging stations. To see if your Tesla will support the CCS1 adapter, go to your Settings in your vehicle dash. Click Software, then Additional Vehicle Information and check for enabled or disabled under CCS adapter support. You can fast charge at any ChargePoint location with the CCS1 adapter if your Tesla is enabled. If this option is disabled, contact your Tesla service provider to see what to do next.
