Sequoia Solar a leading San Diego company in the design, installation, and maintenance of turnkey, grid-connected, solar solutions today announced they will unveil their first networked solar-powered electric vehicle charging station. Powered by a combination of the sun and ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations, Sequoia plans to extend the ChargePoint® Network and their solar technologies throughout San Diego County. Sequoia Solar will unveil the charging station at Sequoia Solar, 343 South Highway 101, Solana Beach, CA at 2:00pm on November 11, 2009.

This week, Norwegian energy supplier Eidsiva commenced operation of the first 'intelligent' charging station for electric vehicles in Gjøvik (Oppland Province), which is supplied by global market leader Coulomb Technologies. Apart from the one in Gjøvik, Coulomb's European sales partner, the 365 Energy Group, will install another three ChargePoint™ stations in Lillehammer and Hamar.

Coulomb Technologies, the leader in networked charging station infrastructure, today announced that smart USA has selected Coulomb Technologies as its preferred supplier of charging stations for the company's smart fortwo electric drive vehicles. Coulomb's ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations for plug-in electric vehicles will be sold through the smart USA dealer network for business, consumer and home charging. As smart USA establishes the sales of its electric drive vehicles, Coulomb will provide charging stations and charge management software, and Coulomb's network of distributors will handle installation, service and warranty coverage.

Coulomb Technologies the leader in networked charging station infrastructure today announced the first German installation of ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations. The public utility in Bochum has activated five charging stations installed by distribution partner 365 Energy Group. The ChargePoint charging stations ensure that in the future electric vehicles can easily be 'fueled' in the Ruhr area metropolis.

Coulomb Technologies, the leader in charging station infrastructure, today announced that the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is the first municipality in the State of Tennessee to install and deploy ChargePoint™ Networked Charging Stations for plug-in electric vehicles. The charging stations are now installed in downtown Nashville in the new 700 space parking garage located on the Fulton Campus. The charging stations, available for employee and fleet use have been installed to reduce greenhouse emissions and to raise awareness of readiness for electric vehicles. Coulomb distributor Green Power Technology, www.GPTechnology.com the exclusive distributor in the northeast U.S. for the ChargePoint Network charging stations, provided sales and support for this installation.

GridPoint, Inc., an established leader in smart grid software, and Coulomb Technologies today unveiled the first ever smart grid enabled smart charging stations for electric vehicles. The integrated solution using Coulomb's ChargePoint™ Networked Charging Stations for plug-in electric vehicles and GridPoint's smart charging software application extends municipalities and utilities ability to manage vehicle-charging load. Utilities and municipalities will now have a networked infrastructure solution that easily and rapidly adapts to critical grid events while prioritizing the need to provide fuel for electric vehicles. In times of peak demand or during critical grid events, utilities are able to utilize public charging infrastructure to manage the electricity load. Demand response events can be dispatched system-wide or targeted to specific locations within the distribution system. The first integrated solution of smart grid charging stations are now on display for demonstration at the Plug-in 2009 conference in Long Beach, California in booths 215 (Coulomb) and 409 (GridPoint).

In the first year since Coulomb Technologies launched the ChargePoint™ Networked Charging Stations for electric vehicles, the Company has achieved significant milestones; it has completed more than 140 worldwide installations and has distributors covering all 50 states in the US. The company has also established European headquarters and developed technology partnerships for solar and Smart Grid integration. Looking to the future of charging infrastructure, Coulomb Technologies will showcase Level 2 (208/240V @ 30A) technology support for fleet and consumer electric vehicles (EVs) with its CT2000 family of charging stations at Plug-in 2009 in Long Beach, Calif. Booth #215, August 10-13, 2009.

Coulomb Technologies congratulates Electric Transportation Engineering Corporation (eTec), a subsidiary of ECOtality (OTCBB: ETLY), on the award of their U.S. Department of Energy grant of approximately $99.8 million. The grant will allow eTec to undertake the largest deployment of electric vehicles (EVs) and charging infrastructure in U.S. history. eTec will install electric vehicle charging infrastructure and deploy up to 1,000 Nissan battery electric vehicles in five states: Arizona, California, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington and install approximately 12,500 Level 2 (220V) charging systems and 250 Level 3 (fast-charge) systems.
