Tim Carmichael, President, California Natural Gas Vehicle Coalition
Richard Lowenthal, Founder and Chief Technical Officer, ChargePoint

When:
Tuesday, September 3
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Where:
South Steps, State Capitol
Sacramento, CA 95814

What:
Senator Yee’s SB 286 and Assemblyman Bloom’s AB 266 are up for Floor votes in the Assembly and Senate respectively on Tuesday, September 3. They will be discussing the bills at a Press Conference Tuesday along with some of the bill’s supporters.

SB 286 would extend through 2018the white sticker program that allows Inherently Low Emission Vehicles and Transitional Zero Emission Vehicles, such as plug-in hybrid vehicles to access the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) highway lanes, while AB 266 extends the green sticker program which does the same for electric, hydrogen, and natural gas-fueled cars. This will help to encourage the purchases of these vehicles, reducing California’s carbon footprint and petroleum consumption, while being of benefit to our economy.
