ChargePoint Offers Free ChargePoint Cards for EV Drivers Through April 25, 2013

Campbell, Calif., April 22, 2013 – In celebration of Earth Day 2013, ChargePoint, Inc. the largest network of electric vehicle charging stations, today announced it has teamed with BMW’s premium, electric car sharing program DriveNow to showcase the benefits of electric vehicles and EV charging in the workplace. ChargePoint’s EV charging stations will be showcased and test drives of the fully-electric BMW ActiveE will be offered on the Bay Area campuses of leading Silicon Valley companies including Microsoft for Earth Day events.

The fleet of 70 ActiveE vehicles is located at multiple DriveNow Stations around San Francisco, The East Bay, Oakland International Airport, Palo Alto and the San Francisco International Airport. After registering online, customers locate and book an available car using the DriveNow web site or mobile app. They then return the car to the same – or any other – DriveNow Station, allowing for convenient one-way trips, if desired.
