Michigan DOT released funding through the Electric Vehicle Charger Reliability and Accessibility Accelerator (EVC RAA) Program to fund the repair or replacement of Level 2 and DC fast charging stations identified as “temporarily unavailable” by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) as shown on the Michigan EVC-RAA Planning Map. Funding is provided for up to $6,000 per Level 2 port and $140,000 per DCFC port up to 80% of the cost to install, purchase, maintain, and provide networking services for five years. Replacement stations must comply with 23 CFR 680, which may include the need to upgrade a station to provide a minimum of four ports as part of the repair and/or replacement. Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis. Applications are due by December 19, 2025.
