ChargePoint – the largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network – applauds the advancement of AB2565 through the Senate Judiciary Committee. The bill, which would allow a tenant to install an EV charging station in a leased parking lot if the tenant is willing to pay, now heads to the Senate floor. ChargePoint has been a long time advocate of policy that supports the EV industry. As such, ChargePoint has worked with the bill’s author, Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi, prior opponents and long-time supporters, in drafting AB2565. ChargePoint CEO, Pasquale Romano had the following to say after yesterday’s Committee hearing:


June 25, 2014 – Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. (NYSE:SKT):The Tanger Outlets in Commerce, GA announced today that it has just installed four new state of the art charging stations for electric vehicles (EV), as a new complimentary service for its customers. All four units will run on the ChargePoint network, which is the nation’s largest and most open EV charging network with over 18,000 charging locations.


Cousins Properties is pleased to announce the installation of eight new ChargePoint stations located at 191 Peachtree Tower, Promenade, American Cancer Society Center and North Point Center East. The stations will run on the ChargePointnetwork, the largest and most open network in the world with over17,000 charging locations and were sold and installed by HannahSolar, a ChargePoint Signature Reseller.


Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative and the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa are partnering to install two electric vehicle charging stations capable of charging four cars at a time at the Bastrop County resort hotel. This is the first partnership between Bluebonnet and one of its members to provide public charging stations for electric vehicles. The co-op’s service area includes major highways between Austin, San Antonio and Houston.

As the first quick charger in New York City on the ChargePoint® network, the project marks an important milestone for Midtown Manhattan and EVowners who have voiced the need for locally available charging infrastructure.
