Illinois NEVI Round 3

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has $65 million in funding currently available through Round 3 of their National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program. This round will be open to the construction and operation of light duty and medium- and heavy-duty charging stations along Illinois’ public roadways, including Scenic Byways, U.S. Routes, and Interstates. IDOT will fund up to 80% of total eligible project costs for public charging stations providing a minimum of four (4) ports capable of supplying 150kW simultaneously, with additional requirements for medium- and heavy-duty charging sites. This is a competitive solicitation and applications are due via email submission by February 13, 2026.
