MEA Community EVSE Grant FY 2026

The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) is offering ~$9M in funding through the Community Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) FY 2026 Grant Program. Funds are provided to help applicants offset Level 2 or DCFC EVSE installation costs at public and/or community-oriented properties ($5M) as well as multifamily housing of 5 or more units ($4M). There is also $1M in EVSE planning grants available. The total grant amount will be calculated using a formula, based on ownership structure (owner operated or third-party owner operated), EV charger type, power level per charging port, and number of ports. The maximum amount any single grantee can receive is based on applicant entity type. Each site must have a minimum of two ports. Applications are due by February 25, 2026.
