ChargePoint, the world’s largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network, and Constellation, the nation’s largest competitive energy supplier to businesses, will launch a new program allowing Constellation customers to fund new ChargePoint stations through Constellation’s Efficiency Made Easy (EME) program. Through EME, businesses may be eligible to purchase state-of-the-art ChargePoint EV charging stations (including installation, service, and warranties) through their Constellation electricity or gas supply agreement.

The term "retail sustainability" could seem like an oxy-moron. How can anything that is focused on selling more stuff to more people every year be sustainable? Yet, the nation's largest retailers are putting a lot of time and money into reducing their negative environmental impacts and becoming better corporate citizens.

It’s a week for celebration here at ChargePoint. Not only are we kicking off National Drive Electric Week, but we’re also celebrating our eighth birthday. We bet on electric vehicles (EVs) before they were even on the road and we knew drivers would need smart charging.

Pasquale Romano, President and Chief Executive Officer of ChargePoint, issued the following statement in connection with today’s announcement by Senate President Kevin de León and California Air Resources Board Chair and Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. appointee Mary Nichols announcing the award of $1.6 million to the City of Los Angeles for an electric vehicle pilot program in disadvantaged neighborhoods.

Green Charge Networks, the largest provider of commercial energy storage in the U.S., today announced its partnership with ChargePoint, the world’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network. Combining energy storage with EV charging eliminates the high cost of demand charges caused by spikes in power usage, often a barrier to installing EV charging stations. Demand charges are part of every commercial electricity bill and are determined by the highest 15 minutes of use during a billing cycle. ChargePoint Home, a smart and beautiful home electric vehicle (EV) charger will be available to order on Amazon later this summer. The price of the networked station ranges from $499 to $749. “ChargePoint Home delivers the same seamless charging experience ChargePoint users have come to count on at work and around town – and now it’s conveniently available in a driver’s own garage,” said ChargePoint CEO Pasquale Romano. “A Wi-Fi enabled, networked, EV charging station gives drivers freedom by allowing them to remotely start, schedule and set reminders for charging, all through their mobile app.”

Last week, we unveiled the ChargePoint Express 100, a new 24 kW output DC fast charger that allows electric vehicle (EV) drivers to recharge their cars in just 20 to 40 minutes. Wondering what the “100” refers to? It’s the estimated, maximum number of miles of Range Per Hour, or “RPH,” that the charging station can deliver. RPH is the new metric by which we’re measuring the power of our EV chargers and by which drivers can estimate how far they can go after plugging in. And with the ChargePoint mobile app, drivers can see how many miles they’ve added in real time.

With ChargePoint Home, ChargePoint Multi-family Service, ChargePoint Commercial and ChargePoint Express, ChargePoint offers an electric vehicle (EV) charging station for every business, every location, and every EV driver.
