ChargePoint, the world’s largest electric vehicle charging network, today announced its entry into the Atlanta market with the installation of networked EV charging stations. Lanier Parking Solutions, headquartered in Atlanta, facilitated the placement of six ChargePoint EV charging stations at locations in Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead, with the location of a seventh charger to be determined.


Shelter Creek Condominiums, San Mateo County's largest MDU (Multi-dwelling Unit) community located in San Bruno, will unveil ChargePoint EV charging stations to its residents at a grand opening event on Saturday, January 19th, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Shelter Creek parking lot A. The ChargePoint stations are installed in four locations throughout the 45-acre property and available for use by residents and their guests. Shelter Creek, a Manor Association Property, has more than 4,000 residents in the San Bruno location. Shelter Creek has partnered with Serramonte Nissan and Putnam Chevrolet to offer Friends and Family discounts for sales and leases of new electric vehicles to attendees of the grand opening event. San Bruno City Manager, Connie Jackson, will be in attendance for the ribbon cutting.


Electric vehicle charging station leaders ChargePoint and DBT USA today announced plans to significantly expand the networked EV charging station landscape in North America. Through a partnership, DBT USA’s new North American portfolio of Level II EV charging stations now have the option to connect to ChargePoint, the world’s largest global EV charging network. Through ChargePoint, DBT USA can now provide station owners and EV drivers advanced features including the ability to help with trip planning, manage the cost of charging, and find and operate public stations.

ChargePoint the world’s largest network of independently owned EV charging stations and DBT USA, the Chicago-based subsidiary of European EV charging infrastructure leader DBT will showcase a joint EV charging station innovation at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show. With more than 10,000 charging stations installed in 32 countries and three continents across the globe, DBT will make a major step in the US EV charging station market with a new product to be announced during CES. The companies will showcase the joint solution on January 8-11, 2013 inside the GoElectricDrive Tech Zone, booth #2826 (LVCC North Hall) and DBT USA booth #2931 (LVCC, North Hall).


ChargePoint today announced their electric vehicle charging station network has reached several major milestones. ChargePoint has more than 10,000 EV charging station spots in North America. More than 25,000, nearly half of all EV drivers, use ChargePoint to charge their electric vehicles. ChargePoint has seen more than 1,500,000 EV charging sessions over the past four years. Additionally, the Company has officially changed its name to ChargePoint, Inc. from Coulomb Technologies, Inc.


ChargePoint today introduced its newest electric vehicle charging station mobile application for all iPhone and Android smart phones. With a new user experience and redesigned look, the ChargePoint EV charging station app now features all EV charging stations installed in the United States, not just those on the ChargePoint network. Additionally, EV drivers can now easily identify which stations have pricing and exactly how far they are from their location. Available for free, the updated ChargePoint EV charging station app also provides EV drivers direct access to their social network accounts including Facebook and Twitter.


ChargePoint today announced its first annual electric vehicle charging station holiday photo contest. From Wednesday, December 5th through Friday, December 21st, EV drivers and EV charging station owners can email photos of their favorite EV charging stations for a chance to win a year of free EV charging. EV charging station photos will also be featured on ChargePoint’s new EV charging station photo array and in ChargePoint’s CES booth. Each day of the contest, Team ChargePoint judges will post the best of the incoming entries in the EV Charging Station Photo of the Day portion of our web site. Winners will be announced on December 28, 2012.


ChargePoint the world’s largest and most established EV charging station network and Service Solutions US, LLC, an industry leader in EVSE full service supply, installation and support, today announced a reseller agreement for electric vehicle charging stations and services in the North American marketplace. Service Solutions, a supplier to virtually every major automotive manufacturer around the globe, will now resell all ChargePoint electric vehicle charging stations and services into auto manufacturers, their dealers and customers and Fortune 1,000 markets in general. The agreement is the first time Service Solutions will resell networked EV charging stations and services in the market. Networked EV charging stations provide significant advantages including the ability to manage billing, create viable pricing structures for EV charging services, monitor and track EV charging station usage and costs.


ChargePoint today announced that the Navy Exchange is providing electric vehicle charging services through ChargePoint at its new LEED Gold certified store in Bethesda, MD. The new $52.8 million facility is designed to serve military families including those at Walter Reed National Military Hospital. A 2-level parking garage with more than 500 spots was built adjacent to the NEX to ensure customers can find a place to park. The parking garage features four ChargePoint electric vehicle charging spots reserved specifically for eco-friendly, low emissions vehicles, the first charging stations at a Navy Exchange facility. The sale and installation of the stations was provided by ChargePoint distributor Green Power Technology.
