Delaware Electric Vehicle Charging Station Rebate Program

The Delaware EV Charging Station Rebate Program offers rebates to Delaware businesses, non-profit organizations, and state and local governments for the purchase and installation of new AC Level 2 EV charging stations for public access, workplace, and fleet locations. The program covers both charging station and installation costs. Rebates of up to 75% of the cost of the charging station and installation are available for commercial projects, and up to 90% of charging station costs and 85% of installation costs for government and nonprofit projects. The maximum rebate amount is $5,000 per port. No specific ChargePoint product models are listed as eligible — any qualifying AC Level 2 station meeting program requirements is eligible. Rebates are limited to 10 charging ports (or 5 dual-port stations) per location, and no single applicant may receive more than $150,000 per funding round. $2,000,000 in total funding is available beginning May 1, 2026. Eligible applicants include Delaware-based commercial entities, non-profit organizations, state agencies, municipal and county governments, public schools, colleges, and universities. To apply, the applicant must be the intended owner of the station(s) and must receive a pre-approval letter from DNREC before purchasing or installing any equipment. This is a first-come, first-served program.
