Washington DIesel Reduction Program

The Washington State Department of Ecology Diesel Reduction Program offers approximately $18.5 million in competitive grant funding to help public and private fleets in Washington replace or repower medium- and heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment with zero-emission alternatives, including associated charging infrastructure. Eligible projects include Class 4-8 on-road vehicles (emergency, local freight, and vocational), as well as non-road equipment (forklifts, cargo handling equipment, and yard trucks). Awards cover up to 75% of eligible project costs, with maximum awards ranging from $400,000 to $1,500,000 depending on vehicle category. Applications are submitted via EAGL and are due December 10, 2026.
