Washington State Department of Ecology has $8 million available in funding for eligible Level 2 and DC fast charger (DCFC) projects across the state through their Charge Where You Are program. Public, private, and non-profit entities are all eligible to apply for public, multifamily, workplace, and fleet charging projects. Funding levels vary depending on the type of project and charger level with a range from 60-80% of eligible project costs reimbursed. Level 2 projects must include a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 ports; DCFC projects may include a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 ports. DCFC projects may also include up to 10 Level 2 ports. There is additional funding available for sites that meet the reduced match criteria. This is a competitive program and is currently accepting applications until July 9, 2026.
