EV Charger Incentive Program
Federal incentive
The EV Charger Incentive Program administered by Green Economy Canada through NRCAN, provides $7M in rebates to expand EV charging infrastructure across public locations, on-street sites, multi-unit residential buildings, workplaces, and light-duty vehicle fleets. Any legally incorporated or registered for-profit organization (SME) or not-for-profit organization in Canada is eligible to apply for funding to install new EV chargers. Priority is given to sites in Ontario, though all Canadian locations are eligible. The program reimburses up to 50% of total eligible project costs, including EV chargers (20 kW and above only), licenses and permits, salary and benefits for project implementation, equipment rental or leasing, and professional services (engineering, construction, and installation). Maximum funding is $100,000 per applicant. The application window is open from June 8, 2026 to June 22, 2026. All awarded projects must be completed by October 31, 2026.
