The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has $6.4 million available in federal funding through the Greater Minnesota EV Infrastructure Community Program to identify, design, and construct electric vehicle charging sites across the state. Selected applicants may receive funding for up to 80% of eligible costs for Level 2 and DC fast chargers (DCFC). MnDOT is seeking applications from Tribal nations, municipalities, public transit agencies, electrical utilities, and regional planning and development organizations for project sites in Greater Minnesota. This is a two phase program and Phase 1: Preconstruction is currently open until April 30, 2026.
