MD MEA Community FY27

Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) 2027 Community EVSE competitive grant has up to $16.5M available statewide to install Level 2 or DCFC equipment. Businesses, incorporated nonprofits, local governments, local education agencies, and certain private higher-ed institutions are encouraged to apply. State agencies and regulated utilities are ineligible. Eligible locations include publicly available locations, fleet, workplace, multi-family housing, curbside, and publicly owned property. Preference will be given to project sites that are publicly accessible as opposed to limited access. Grant amounts are calculated per port based on project type, ownership structure, and power level and range between $5.5k to $8k per Level 2 port to $85k to $125k for DCFC ports. Max per applicant: $900K (businesses, nonprofits, municipal govts) | $1.5M (county govts, local education agencies). Deadline is December 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET via My MEA portal (MEA.maryland.gov).
