PA NEVI Community Charging - Western Region

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has approximately $25M in funding for the NEVI Community Charging Funding Opportunity Round 2—Western Region, which supports Projects that deploy EVSE in the following counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Fayette, Forrest, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Warren, Washington, and Westmoreland. Any location within these counties is eligible for funding, with certain use cases prioritized over others. The maximum award per project is location dependent and ranges between $500,000 - $1,000,000. Level 2 and DC fast charging (DCFC) stations are eligible for this program as long as they meet all Federal requirements and provide at least four (4) charging ports per site. Prospective Contractors may apply for up to 80% federal cost share for eligible project costs, with a minimum match of 20% from non-federal sources. PennDOT will begin accepting proposals via their eGrants Public Portal on September 8, 2026. Proposals are due by November 20, 2026, by 5:00 PM EST.
