How do I set up notifications in the ChargePoint app?

The ChargePoint app keeps you in the loop about your charging sessions, your waitlist position and your home charger. You can choose which events trigger an alert and how you want to receive them. To set up notifications, complete the following steps:

  • Open the ChargePoint app.

    New users get to configure system notification preferences during onboarding. Existing users need to navigate to Account to customize notifications.

  • If you are signing up for the first time, customize your notification preferences during account onboarding. If you already have an account but have not set up notifications yet, Account to customize notifications.
  • Tap Notifications and configure preferences for each category.
  • Set preferences for Public Charging and your Home Charger (if you have ChargePoint Home charger) so we can tell you when you are fully charged or charging is interrupted, plus send a receipt when you are done charging (public charging only).
  • In Notify Me By, choose how you want to get notifications: a push notification in the app, email, or text message. If you prefer email or text notifications, navigate to Account > Profile and add your email and/or phone number.

    Waitlist push notifications are time-sensitive. Make sure push notification is enabled at the device level.
