ChargePoint Expands EV Fast Charging Network Across New York in Partnership with NYSERDA
The Business of Charging | 8/17/2026
Planning a drive through New York? Whether you're chasing waterfalls in the Finger Lakes, skiing the Adirondacks, or finally making the trip to Niagara Falls, there's never been a better time to do it in your EV.
New York State is ready for your next EV road trip
Thanks to a partnership with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and private sector partners Zero6 Energy, Love’s Travel Stop, and Onvo Travel Plaza, ChargePoint has added 12 new DC fast charging sites across the state. Each site has four ports — some delivering up to 200 kW, others up to 400 kW.
Why this matters
Transportation is the single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in New York. Getting more drivers into EVs is one of the clearest paths to hitting the state’s ambitious climate goals, and reliable fast charging helps make that possible.
New York has so much to offer, and these new sites make it all more reachable by putting fast charging in corridors and communities across the state where it was previously harder to find.
Supported by New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), funding for this buildout was targeted to fill those spatial gaps — prioritizing geographic spread and proximity to disadvantaged communities.
Here's where you can charge:
Central New York
Starting in Liverpool and spreading south and east, these four sites make Central New York easy to navigate by EV.

- Love's Travel Stop Waterloo – 1262 NY-414, Waterloo, NY 13165

North Country
These two sites open up the Adirondacks and the Vermont border corridor, making these trips easier for EV drivers.
- Hannaford Plattsburgh – 7 Pyramid Drive, Plattsburgh, NY 12901
- Grandview Hotel at Lake Placid – 101 Olympic Drive, Lake Placid, NY 12946
Western New York

- Cambria Hotel Niagara Falls – 311 Rainbow Blvd, Niagara Falls, NY 14303 (steps from the Falls)
Mohawk Valley
- Town of Cooperstown – 2 Doubleday Ct, Cooperstown, NY 13326 (yes, the Baseball Hall of Fame is less than a 5-minute walk away)
- Onvo Travel Plaza Fultonville – 128 Riverside Drive, Fultonville, NY 12072
Charging that goes the distance
Several sites – including Denny’s Cortland, Hannaford Plattsburgh, Starbucks at Parkway Plaza Canandaigua, and Cambria Hotel Niagara Falls – are located in or near communities that have historically had fewer options when it comes to EV infrastructure.
All 12 sites are publicly accessible and open 24-7; just pull up, plug in, and initiate charging. You can find them on the ChargePoint app and various mapping apps.
