Why is ChargePoint switching from SMS to push app notifications?

We’re making this change to reduce the cost of our service and re-invest in the app in order to provide the best experience possible for our customers.


What do I need to do to continue receiving charging updates?

Check your app notification settings to enable push notifications for charging updates.


Will I still receive the same types of notifications?

Yes, you will continue receiving the notifications you opted in for, including but not limited to updates about your charging sessions, including start and stop alerts, station availability, and other important updates. The only change is that these notifications will now only appear in the notification methods you have enabled, including the ChargePoint app and your email instead of being sent via SMS.
