Charge Ready NY — Large Public Sector Project

NYSERDA launched Charge Ready NY — Large Public Sector Project, and $35 million is now available for public sector entities to install and operate Level 2 electric vehicle chargers in New York. Eligible entities include New York State agencies and authorities, local governments, and NY State or NYC university systems. Award range from $1M – $15M per applicant for Level 2 EV charger installation and operation at one or more publicly owned, publicly accessible sites. The proposer’s cost share must be a minimum of 20%. NYSERDA will fund a maximum of $20,000 per port. Paid parking garages and university permit lots are both eligible. Each site must include 4 ports per off-street site / 2 ports per on-street site, each capable of dispensing 6.2 kW simultaneously. With ChargePoint on the NYS OGS contract, this opens up eligible entities to specify turnkey procurement and installation without directly without going out to open bid.
