MCE Call for Projects

California incentive

MCE has $744,800 available in federal subaward funding through their Charged by Public Power program, which seeks to increase access to publicly available EV charging. The program supports Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast charging (DCFC) equipment at sites such as community centers, libraries, schools, parks, multifamily properties, and commercial centers. Eligible applicants include local governments, public agencies, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, multifamily property owners, and community-serving businesses. Projects must be located in one of nine priority communities including Concord, Fairfield, Napa, Pittsburg, Richmond, San Pablo, San Rafael, Unincorporated Contra Costa County, or Vallejo, and located within a state-designated priority-population area. This is a competitive solicitation and applications are due September 4, 2026.
