For tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2023, New York State residents and business owners may be eligible for a nonrefundable credit related to alternative fuels vehicle refueling property or electric vehicle refueling property. The credit for each installation of property is equal to the lesser of $5,000 or 50% of the cost of the property less any cost paid form the proceeds of any grants or incentives.
