NYSEG's MHD Make-Ready Pilot

NYSEG's MHD Make-Ready Pilot covers up to 90% of utility-side and up to 90% of customer-side infrastructure costs for MHD fleet charging. NYSEG's Medium- and Heavy-Duty (MHD) Make-Ready pilot program provides incentives covering up to 90% of utility-side infrastructure costs and up to 50% (or up to 90% in disadvantaged communities) of customer-side costs to help fleet owners build electric vehicle charging capacity. To qualify for utility-side incentives, a site must be either publicly accessible or participating in a qualified voucher incentive program. Additional LMTIP program covers up to 100% of load management technology costs. Funding can stack with NYTVIP, NYSBIP, NYCCTP, and EPA voucher programs. Expanded in January 2026 to include shared hub models and non-voucher participants. Funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
