TDEC Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grant Program

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) has $4.3 million available to support the replacement or repower of Class4-8 Medium- and Heavy-Duty vehicles. Both government and non-government entities operating in Tennessee may apply, and applicants are limited to one application each covering up to 15 vehicles. Entities with qualifying all-electric projects may receive funding for EV charging infrastructure in conjunction with the replacement or repower of an accompanying vehicle. TDEC will fund up to 50% of charger acquisition and installation costs for non-government applicants and up to 75% for government applicants (up to 90% for government projects in Distressed Counties or nonattainment areas). Applications must be submitted via the TDEC Online Grants Management System by 4:00 PM CST on Friday, August 21, 2026.
