How do I see amenities nearby stations?

The ChargePoint app shows amenities from the station you have chosen and from the map. Both flows are designed to help you decide where to charge based on what is near the charging station.

Option 1: Amenities tab from your station page

Use this when you have already picked a station (or are charging at one) and want to know what is nearby.

  • Open the ChargePoint app and tap the site pin.
  • Tap the site card to open the site page.
  • Navigate to the Amenities tab.
  • The Amenities tab lists nearby places grouped by categories such as grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, retail stores, hotels and more and how far the ameneties are from the station.

Option 2: Amenity search on the map

Use this when you want to find a charging station near a specific kind of amenity (for example, a charger near a cafe so you can grab coffee while you charge).

  • Open the ChargePoint app and tap the search bar at the top of the map.
  • Type an address, city or business name and select a location to recenter the map.
  • Tap the search bar again and select one of the Amenity category: grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, retail stores, hotels and more.
  • The map shows custom amenity pins for matching businesses, each labeled with the business address and name.
  • ChargePoint stations near each amenity stay visible so you can pick a charger and an amenity together.

After picking an amenity category, the app shows a list of matching results and the closest ChargePoint stations to each, so that you can compare the distance and walk time without leaving the map.

Tips:

  • Combine an amenity search with the available quick filter so you only see charging stations near amenities that have an open spot right now.
  • For longer charging sessions (DC fast charging at a high SoC or AC charging at a workplace) the Amenities tab is the fastest way to find food, restrooms or shopping while you wait.
  • Amenity data is sourced from public business listings and refreshed regularly. Hours and availability can still change. It is suggested to call ahead for time-sensitive stops.
  • If an amenity is missing or wrong, report it via the In-app Chatbot or Help > Contact Us.
